Haec dies

Commissioned by the Metropolitan Chorale of Brookline, Haec dies will be premiered on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at First Church in Harvard Square, Cambridge.
Written for SATB choir, organ & trumpet, Haec dies is a new setting of the traditional Latin text meaning “This is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it. Allelulia.”
The evening’s program, entitled “Metamorphosis,” is a celebration of the Metropolitan Chorale’s new name and explores the meaning of old and new through the music of Monteverdi, Gesualdo, Lauridsen, Arvo Pärt and others. Click here for more information.
